You may want to find the ones that have the most members, as those are where you will have great luck looking someone. You can start with MySpace and FaceBook, and then go from there. You don’t have to add a lot of information, but having profile helps in your search. These can help you link with old classmates and with those you currently know.
You can take advantage of all of the features that these sites have to offer. Today, most allow you the choice of using your email contacts to see if someone has signed up with any of the same email addresses. If you have an outdated email address for someone that you can’t find, you may find a profile on a public networking site. If they aren’t using the email, they probably aren’t using their profile any longer, but it might still be there. You can get clues from there that can lead you to what you seek.
You can also use the hunt functions that most of them have. These allow you to hunt for population by name, or you can add any other information that you have. There are times when names net hundreds of results, so narrowing it down does help.
